Two charming hideaways in the centre of Moscow in the Patriarshy Ponds area. Fidelio and La Grotta are fine Italian restaurants that do not charge a fortune. The two restaurants have the same menu so essentially the only difference is the decor. And neither restaurant is very outlandish in this field. Instead, the simple yet elegant designs make the food the main focus of a visit. The menu is based heavily on Tuscan recipes meaning that the dishes have an emphasis on meat and the desserts here are a real treat. There is also a good selection of cheaper pizza and pasta dishes. Both restaurants have a 20% discount on the entire menu (excluding alcohol) from 12pm to 5pm on weekdays. The restaurants also do delivery inside the Garden Ring area.

A large chain of pizzerias (there are more than 30 throughout the city) that serve surprisingly good food. Your best bet is to stick to the restaurant’s specialty and sample one of their thin-crust pizzas - there filling and the more expensive ones are very tasty. Staff are also happy to remove or add any ingredients at you request.
Pizzas range in price from £3 to about £8. Drinks cost around £3. There are also pasta, seafood and other assorted Italian dishes on the menu. Staff are generally quite efficient and the food is made quickly even though these restaurants are always busy. The atmosphere is lively but the restaurants do tend to pack tables close together so this isn’t exactly a private place.

ACCENTI

Italian, Japanese

Accenti, which has just opened in a quiet lane in Kropotskinskaya, is essentially a seafood restaurant, elegant and somewhat pricey. But although you will pay a bit more here, you will get good value for money. For the budget-bound diner, lunch is probably the best time to visit Accenti. There is no separate lunch menu, but all prices are reduced 15% from 12.00-17.00.
Ingredients are fresh and well-matched, portions are generous, and the recipes are novel, yet delicious. The dish of the restaurant is presented by Sous-Chef Sergey Shumankov, who chose hamachi (also known as amberjack), a rather exotic fish for Moscow restaurants of Italian cuisine. The fish is rolled in pink pepper and then baked in olive oil quickly to preserve its natural juices. It comes with a puree of boiled broccoli with sweet cream and grilled garlic.

NOA

The design of the Noa Restaurant doesn’t belong to any particular style or branch of art: eclectic interior is like a fantasy or a dream. A wonderful mixture of Oriental and Indian culture, ethno and classics makes the restaurant unique in its style. Natural materials like wood, ceramics and textile prevail in the decor. The Noa Restaurant meets with a huge gate-mask of Polynesian god of pearl Noa on the facade. The shutter opens a huge 5 meter window of the restaurant in the mornings and blinds it at dusk.
The restaurant features Italian and Mediterranean cuisine. The preference is given to pastas, delicious dishes from raw fish and seafood with the most refined accomplishments.
